Rotary South Recognizes Scholar-Athletes

Rotary Club of Fort Myers South will honor 36 nominees and announce the scholarship recipients and other award winners at its Scholar-Athlete Awards banquet from 7 to 9 p.m. May 6, 2015 at the Crowne Plaza in Fort Myers. The scholarship program recognizes top athletes from area high schools based on athletic and academic achievement, along with strength of character Joe Dooley will deliver the keynote address. Mary Stephan joins Rotary South

Rotary Club of Fort Myers South welcomed Mary Stephan into their membership on February 2, 2015.  Mary is a travel agent at Preferred Travel of Naples.  She moved to Fort Myers from Ohio in 2014. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority at Ohio State University.  While in Ohio, Mary was very active in the Powell Area Chamber of Commerce, having served as Vice President and Board Member. Get ready to rock for Rotary!  On Saturday, October 25, Bell Tower Shops and the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South present Rocktoberfest 2014 in a new format: Battle of the Bands.  Celebrate, support, and recognize the excellence of local musicians and talent of all ages. Rotary Club of Fort Myers South honored members of Lee County law enforcement during its inaugural Law and Order Ball Friday, October 10, 2014 at Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers, Florida.  The event drew more than 400 local dignitaries, law enforcement representatives, business owners and residents. Dictionary Day for Lee County Third Graders

On Friday, October 3, 2014, members of the Rotary Club of Fort Myers South visited several Lee County schools today to distribute dictionaries to all third graders. Each year, all of the Rotary clubs in Lee County provide every third grade student in Lee County schools with a dictionary.
