The Rotary Club of Fort Myers South inducted two new members on Monday, July 28, 2014: Sharon Arnold and Jeffrey Garvin.
Sharon Arnold is a partner in the public relations firm Gravina, Smith, Matte & Arnold in Fort Myers, Florida. She joined the firm in 2001 and was named partner in 2005. With more than three decades of domestic and international experience in the public relations and marketing field, she has earned professional recognition for newsletter production, media relations, advertising and crisis communications. Arnold serves on the board of directors of Water Enhancement & Restoration Coalition, Southwest Florida Watershed Council and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Florida Public Relations Association. She is a graduate of the University of West Florida. Sharon’s Rotary sponsor was Clif Parker.
Jeffrey R. Garvin is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with the Garvin Law Firm in Fort Myers, Florida. He has litigated catastrophic injury and death cases throughout the country for over 30 years. He has been selected by his peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America since 2005 and included in Florida Super Lawyers since 2006. He is a past president of the Florida Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Calusa Inns of Court, Edison Community College Endowment Corporation, and the Sanibel-Captiva Rotary Trust Fund. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers for 14 years, chairing virtually all their committees. Garvin is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Law. He has been a pilot since 1975. Jeffrey’s Rotary sponsor was Gerry Poppe.
